Formatting your notes
The note editor is a rich text editor with a toolbar above the writing area. Select some text (or place your cursor where you want to start) and click a toolbar button to apply formatting. Click the same button again to remove it.
Text styles
- B — make text bold
- I — make text italic
- S — strike text through
You can combine these — text can be bold and italic at the same time.
Headings
Use the H1, H2, and H3 buttons to turn the current line into a heading. H1 is the largest, H3 the smallest. Headings are a great way to break a long note into sections. Clicking the active heading button again turns the line back into normal text.
Lists and quotes
- Bullet list — an unordered list, like this one
- Numbered list — an ordered list for steps or rankings
- Quote — a block quote, ideal for citing something or calling out a passage
Press Enter inside a list to add the next item, and press Enter on an empty item to leave the list.
Images and dividers
Click the image button to pick an image file from your device and insert it at your cursor. You can also paste an image from your clipboard or drag an image file straight into the editor. The divider button inserts a horizontal line — handy for separating sections without a heading.
Undo and redo
Made a change you regret? The undo and redo arrows at the end of the toolbar step backwards and forwards through your edits. And since notes autosave continuously, whatever you settle on is saved automatically.
