Logging interactions and notes
Every person in Gridflo has an Activity tab — a timeline of your interactions and notes about them. Logging a contact takes seconds and is what powers contact frequency tracking: your most recent logged contact is what Gridflo measures against.
Log a contact from a profile
- Open the person and go to the Activity tab
- Click Add Contact next to the Timeline heading
- Pick the type of interaction: In Person, Call, Text, Email, Meeting, or Chance
- Set the date — it defaults to today
- Optionally add notes about how it went
- Click Log Contact
If the person is overdue or due soon, the status banner at the top of the Activity tab also has a Log contact shortcut.
Add a general note
Not every entry is an interaction. Click Add Note on the Activity tab to capture something about the person — a gift idea, a story they told, a preference to remember. Notes take a title, a date, and content, and sit on the same timeline as contacts. You can switch between the two entry types with the Log contact / Add note tabs in the form.
Every timeline entry can be edited or deleted later, and once you have more than one entry you can filter the timeline by type.
The Add Person Interaction quick action
You don't need to visit the People page at all. The sidebar has an Add Person Interaction quick action available from anywhere in the app:
- Click Add Person Interaction under Quick Actions in the sidebar
- Search for the person by name and select them
- Fill in the interaction and click Log Contact
This searches your existing people — to add someone new, see Adding people. The Overdue Contacts widget on the Dashboard has the same one-click logging, so clearing your catch-up list never takes more than a moment.
